The resin-based core, available for round tool grinding, is over 75% lighter and eliminates the risk of sparks while reducing chipping, breakage and chatter, for better finishing in round tool applications.

Within the solution package, the safety laser scanner PSENscan enables safeguarding and productive area monitoring of mobile platforms. On guide path AGVs, PSENscan detects objects along the route, even at high speeds, and adjusts warning and safety zones in a functionally safe manner. PSENscan provides up to 70 protected fields.

The metric VariMill Chip Splitters feature a design that actively controls chip size resulting in easier chip evacuation in deep cavities. The end mills include five- and seven-flute configurations from 8mm-20mm metric standard diameters. The five-flute tool maximizes performance in steel materials while the seven-flute tool excels in stainless steel and high-temperature alloys.

Hardened and moveable jaw plates combat lifting, which can occur during heavier metal removal applications, to help ensure tolerances of ±.0005". The full stainless steel ball lock pins and handles come in a variety of configurations: button, ring, nautical and domed versions. The quick release pins are available in a variety of lengths and diameters from 3/16 to 1/2 in. nominal diameter and 5 mm to 16 mm nominal diameter with shanks made from both 17-4 and 300 series stainless steel.

Ideal for holemaking without a pilot drill up to 10×Dc, the inserts provide time savings that boost productivity. The inserts were designed to achieve maximum tool life in stable machining conditions thanks to the wear resistant WPP25 grade with HIPIMS technology. The grade has a particularly hard and robust substrate to extend tool life.
