ATI Industrial Automation has developed a new series of single-axis compliant deburring tools. The RS-151, RS-340 and RS-660-ER models provide radial, single-axis compliance, allowing the spindle and cutter to pivot in one plane about a single-axis to provide high stiffness parallel to (and excellent compliance perpendicular to) the direction of motion resulting in exceptional surface finishes.

Chemetall introduces high-performance glass grinding and drilling coolants. Acecool 5679 increases glass grinding and drilling processing speeds while reducing the amount of dressings. The result is increased output of glass parts at low coolant concentrations without burning and greater tool life, according to the company.

UnionChemnitz has developed a new precision boring mill. The KCG was developed to fill the gap in the market between a classic boring mill and a jig boring machine in terms of precision and price-performance ratio. The oldest existing machine tool manufacturer in Europe used its 160 years of experience to design a precision boring mill whose accuracy is significantly higher than that of a classic horizontal boring mill, yet comes with a classic HBM's flexibility.
