The Junker Group says its ingenuity and expertise are put on display with the flexible, high-performance QUICKPOINT grinding machine. High-speed grinding combines Junker precision with maximum flexibility.

For longitudinal and face turning, Sandvik Coromant introduces the CoroTurn 300 for higher component quality, increased handling efficiency and longer tool life in steel turning operations. The CoroTurn 300 features stable insert clamping, as well as eight-edged inserts for the high chip control, tool life and surface finish.

Sugino Corp. introduces the new Barriquan family of self-compensating deburring toolholders. Barriquan toolholders have integral tension and compression designed for hard tool deburring of all materials and part shapes.

The new RCT85, for larger sizes, taps 10 ½-13 holes, 1" deep in 18 seconds. For fastest cycle time, Tapmatic offers CST (constant-speed tapping) attachments.

THINBIT, manufactured by Kaiser Tool Co., announces the expansion of its GROOVE 'N TURN line of dovetail grooving inserts. Dovetail grooving inserts are used to machine O-ring dovetail grooves with 66° undercut angles.

The TNC 640, HEIDENHAIN's mill/turn control, has added powerful new cycles and features. Enhanced graphics, interpolation turning and gear hobbing are some examples that will extend the versatility of the TNC 640 to new applications such as for machining large parts for power plants.

Regal Cutting Tools has developed a variable-helix endmill that minimizes deflection and reduces vibration. This tool can be run at heavy feed rates to outperform carbide at half the cost when milling titanium, stainless steel and nickel-base superalloys, according to the company.

With the ever increasing demand to position and hold more weight and higher pressures, Loc-Line introduces its ¾" element clamps. The ¾" system has been used to successfully deliver large amounts of fluid, hold heavy objects and large shields.

HPT nozzles expand the working pressure range to a maximum 1,000 psi, allowing a higher level of machining while providing the same Loc-Line quality end users come to expect. The CT (compact turret) is for tight spaces and the XR (extended rotation) is also available.

New and improved, the Multimar 844 T Universal Measurement Gage from Mahr Federal is for large ID and OD gaging. Built on a finely ground, hard chrome-plated column, and available in a range of sizes, the Multimar 844 T can measure ODs and IDs up to 2,500mm with extreme sensitivity and accuracy.

Lang Technovation Inc. has introduced its new ECO Compact 20 space-saving and simple automation system.nThe ECO Compact 20 is reportedly designed for complete ease of use and flexibility within a production shop. It is ideal for use with vertical machining centers, housing 20 pallets in a 2m x 2m footprint, saving valuable manufacturing space without sacrificing capacity.

The RF 100 Diver family of high-performance, solid-carbide endmills from Guhring Inc. are capable of plunging and extreme ramping in alloy steel, cast iron and aluminum. The Diver is a variable-helix, 4-flute endmill with a special face geometry for drilling up to 2 diameters deep and ramping up to a 45° plunge angle.
