The gage is supplied in a carrying case with a program on a USB drive that runs in LK's CAMIO measuring and reporting software. The program includes DMIS measurement and alignment routines for bridge and horizontal arm CMMs, allowing the CCG cycle to run seamlessly on LK machines.

So how does Y-axis turning work? As the name implies, the new method makes use of the Y-axis, and all three axes are used simultaneously when machining. The tool rotates around its own center, the insert is placed for machining in the Y-Z plane and the milling spindle axis interpolates during turning.

The three performance levels encompass the product designations of T32 and T34 in thread cutting taps and T33 in forming taps. At the base level are universal general-purpose type taps. The second T34 mid-level range consists of higher performance taps that work well in a variety of workpiece materials, making them especially well-suited for high-mix/low-volume production environments with constantly changing parts and materials.

There are two stocked and standard product offerings where gundrills are delivered within 24 hours of the order. The SFGD Express program is for Single Flute Gundrills in diameters from 0.1250" - 0.7500" (3.175mm - 19.050mm) and lengths up to 48" (1219mm).

Both bundles include API's Radian Plus Laser Tracker, which is known for its high accuracy and long-range measurement capabilities. Also available are API's vProbe, a high-precision, non-contact measurement probe that is ideal for use in tight spaces and hard-to-reach areas or iScan3D, a high-speed handheld scanner with flexible probe locations for all part inspection or reverse engineering applications.

Available in three models, the VL 30-5X five-axis machining center, and VL 30, and larger VL 50 3-axis versions, this series features a 15 hp 50,000 rpm spindle accepting HSK E25 tooling for precise roughing and ultra-fine finishing. An integrated tool changer holds up to 90 tools.

The PM2 pinion option is available for gearboxes sizes 090 to 200 and, like the PM1 pinions, is available for a total of four gearbox series with a flanged output shaft: Among them is the PFHE coaxial planetary gearbox from the Economy Line, which comprises durable and powerful standard gearboxes with an excellent price/performance ratio.

Flow 5.0 includes checks and messages that identify possible errors before a build even starts, reducing the likelihood of customers experiencing failures in their builds. In doing so, engineers can be confident that a part will print successfully before the process begins. Flow also now includes labeling for objects.

Among the additions are new models of the company's Carbide Micro Grinding Mandrels for optimized precision micro machining accuracy and performance. Carbide Micro Grinding Mandrels are compatible for use with Tungsten Carbide, fiberglass, stone, marble, ferrite, composites, non-ferrous metals, industrial ceramics, rubber, reinforced plastics, glass, and other hard abrasive materials.

WBH20C WL25 indexable inserts are full-radius copy turning inserts with Walter Lock positive engagement. The WL positive engagement provides maximum stability and precision for reliable machining of contours. With pocket support right under the cutting edge, and exceptional ability to prevent vibrations; the WL positive engagement is substantially better than the conventional V-shaped or even full radius grooving inserts.

The lineup includes solid carbide grippers for high wear and high load applications. While the SofTop™ urethane grippers are available in a variety of durometers and are permanently bonded to a 300 series stainless steel pad. The non-marking, non-staining urethane provides excellent protection against damage on delicate work surfaces.

The coating's mechanical post-treatment induces a unique state of residual stress in the layer surface, which in turn increases process security. The DRAGONSKIN grade CTCP425-P with advanced AL2O3-TiN CVD coating is particularly well suited for when uninterrupted cuts are required. It delivers excellent wear resistance even at increased cutting speeds.
