Eriez Finishing Mill Unloaders quickly and automatically remove ferrous parts from finishing mill media, helping to improve productivity and efficiency in busy parts finishing operations.

EXSYS Tool Inc.'s new PRECI-FLEX Compensating Clutch system for Nakamura CNC turning centers enables users to "float" away misalignment between turret drive motors and toolholders, leading to smoother operation, finer surface finishes and longer tool life.

Made in the USA and offering both live-graphical-part and live-image views, the Magellan Vision System from Paul N. Gardner Co. Inc. is available in two measuring ranges: 8" x 6" x 6" and 12" x 8" x 6".

Guyson Corp. has designed and built a robotic blast machine that precisely repeats programmed surface preparation routines on individual components and automatically processes a tray-full of parts without interruption.

Due to increased accuracy demands for angle encoders exceeding an inside diameter of 100mm, HEIDENHAIN has developed the EIB 1500 External Interface Box.

Safety-related position encoders have been available from HEIDENHAIN for several years. However, those encoders have been rated to SIL 2, PL d, Category 3. While this meets the requirements of most applications, sometimes there is a need for SIL 3, PL e, Category 4-rated equipment.

The chatter or vibration in metal cutting poses an eternal challenge for manufacturers. The ISCAR products of the latest HIGH QLINE family of cutting tools offer an interesting solution: Indexable Milling Insert with an asymmetric shape.

Advanced hard turning, or the use of superhard polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN) cutting tools for machining hardened ferrous materials like cast irons, is eagerly sought across a number of key manufacturing industries.

Experienced manufacturers know that when milling, three main considerations predominate: metal removal rate, tool life, and surface finish. All three are critical to successful metalworking, but often one will predominate. Manufacturers facing parts requiring 90-degree shoulders also know that achieving true 90-degree shoulders and minimizing the scallop or step marks between passes absolutely requires a high-performance cutter.

By combining high clamping force and optimized interference levels, Kennametal says its new KM4X100 provides a robust connection, extremely high stiffness, and bending load capacity for greatly improved performance in machining high-strength alloys and other materials.

Tool selection, tool configuration, and the best applicable tooling advice based on the customer's part and process requirements are all at the touch of a few mouse clicks in Kennametal's revolutionary NOVO.

Small to large part workholding setups align and lock into position fast and accurately using Kurt Manufacturing Co.'s DockLock system.
