Lantek Expert V2021 includes 25 innovative cutting, punching and shearing strategies that offer more options for efficient destruction of slugs and to redistribute parts throughout the entire metal sheet to optimize the rigidity of the skeleton and further reduce waste. The system digitalizes scrap with previous cuts, identifies areas on the sheet available and allows for any part to be cut within that space, all with a simple drag-and-drop operation.

The new duo of VOLLMER grinding machines designed for machining carbide-tipped circular saw blades, is made up of the CS 860 and CSF 860.

In contrast to conventional zero-point tooling systems, monitoring sensors were specifically designed for the MTS 4.0. Each of the four chucks in the MTS 4.0 base plate are equipped with a sensor to check the presence of the workpiece holder and to monitor the actuating piston. There is also a force sensor to measure the clamping power. Similar to previous MTS versions, the chuck is operated with compressed air for opening, re-clamping and cleaning functions.

Both the SmartMoma and the Nextage robots will be shown in working action during the IMTS 2022 in Chicago. The SmartMamo will transport full and empty cassettes between the grinding machines and the post‐grinding station. The Nextage humanoid robot will perform tasks such as tubing and labeling.

The pneumatic clamps of the GN 860 series now have hardened, ground bearing bushings and tempered bearing pins for significantly reduced wear. No meaningful alterations were observed in testing for over 250,000 cycles. Structural reinforcement of the sheet steel housing reduces wear-inducing vibrations during operation, which makes a difference even under lower loads. And, finally, the new one-way restrictor in the cylinder enables smoother travel to extend the lifespan of the piston.

This new release contains a collection of new features and on-going enhancements designed to help customers improve their operational efficiency while reducing non-value-added tasks.

The data in the Surface Library was generated using a variety of areal (3D) measurement instruments. The data is in .os3d format, the native file format for Digital Metrology's OmniSurf3D surface texture software. Each dataset includes hints for analyzing the data within OmniSurf3D. A free 10-day trial version of the software is available separately. The .os3d file format description is also freely available on the website for those who wish to analyze the data with their own mathematical tools.
