In contrast to conventional zero-point tooling systems, monitoring sensors were specifically designed for the MTS 4.0. Each of the four chucks in the MTS 4.0 base plate are equipped with a sensor to check the presence of the workpiece holder and to monitor the actuating piston.

Both the SmartMoma and the Nextage robots will be shown in working action during the IMTS 2022 in Chicago. The SmartMamo will transport full and empty cassettes between the grinding machines and the post‐grinding station. The Nextage humanoid robot will perform tasks such as tubing and labeling.

No meaningful alterations were observed in testing for over 250,000 cycles. The data in the Surface Library was generated using a variety of areal (3D) measurement instruments. The data is in .os3d format, the native file format for Digital Metrology's OmniSurf3D surface texture software. Each dataset includes hints for analyzing the data within OmniSurf3D. A free 10-day trial version of the software is available separately.

Positioned upstream from an eddy current separator, the high-strength Dynamic Pulley Separator uses a Rare Earth permanent magnet pulley rotating at an off-set speed from the belt, creating an agitating magnetic field. This improves ferrous recovery or removal and allows non-ferrous material to continue to downstream equipment.
