The front-mount option is available for inclusion on a total of four manual clamps that can be used with both vertical and horizontal handle action. The two vertical operating models – 2002-UF and 2007-UF – provide enlarged space for manual operations and increased safety.

AddForceBarrel uses inserts whose cutting edges have a large-radius arc of either 20 mm (.787″) or 30 mm (1.181″), designed for semi-finish profiling of 3D surfaces. This AMO speed sensor includes a USB interface which allows the operating status of the spindle to output to the machine control. Receiving the most extensive quality enhancements is the Model 802-U Manual Clamp. The updates include an upgraded air cylinder that ensures the clamp's exerting force is less than the maximum holding capacity when operated at normal pressure, which extends service life; new composite bearings on the trunnion mount and cylinder pivot point that eliminate metal-to-metal contact while requiring no lubrication; and a redesigned clevis bolt, along with increased rivet and pre-stop diameters that increase longevity.

5-axis provides increased feature access with infinite probe angles: Infinite positioning guarantees optimal feature access, minimizing stylus changes, thereby improving usability over fixed-angled probe heads. 5-axis motion allows larger part access on the CMM by minimizing space required around the part for probe orientation.

Like its predecessor, the new TNL12 features four tool carriers that can be applied to a workpiece simultaneously, albeit with significant changes to the machine's kinematics. While the front-working attachment and counter spindle were previously arranged on a single slide, they are now housed on separate slides.
