Metabo Corp. offers the BS18 LTX Quick and Metabo's Power X3 torque attachment that turns the cordless drill/driver into a powerful high-torque driver.

Metabo's BS18 LTX Quick has a dual range torque adjustment with a maximum running torque of 372 inch-lbs. (soft case) and up to 850 inch-lbs. for momentary spikes (hard case) in the event of extreme resistance. The cordless drill/driver offers a no-load speed of 0 rpm to 400 rpm in first gear and 0 rpm to 1,400 rpm in second gear. When paired with the Power X3, the torque is tripled and the speed is reduced to 0 to 133 rpm for maximum control and power. The Power X3 is also compatible with various Metabo corded drills including the BE75-16, BE751 and BE1100.

The BS18 LTX Quick is ideal for users working with large bolts or drilling long screws and lag screws in timber frames or heavy deck work, as well as those working in the field where tool reliability and longevity is paramount. The compact, lightweight BS18 LTX Quick combines all the performance and capacity advantages of lithium-ion with Metabo's long history of advanced tool ergonomics to form a uniquely durable power tool that outperforms most models in its class. The cordless drill/driver features a Quick change chuck system that allows the operator to effortlessly change from drill to driver mode or install the Power X3 torque driver in just seconds.

The BS18 LTX Quick is powered by Metabo's Ultra-M 4.0 Ah battery. This 18 V lithium-ion battery runs 33 percent longer and has an increased lifespan of 33 percent over traditional rechargeable batteries, according to the company. The Ultra-M 4.0 Ah battery does not have any memory effect. It can be charged at the user's convenience without having to wait for the battery to totally discharge and does not lose any of its charging capability. The tool can also accommodate Metabo's 18 V, 3.0 Ah lithium-ion batteries.

Metabo's air-cooled charging technology cools the battery pack to a level temperature during charging using guided air flow ducting, extending cell life and speeding the charge of a warm battery.

Electronic Single Cell Protection (ESCP), Metabo's revolutionary charging concept, allows for longer battery service life by electronically monitoring individual cells while in use and during charging to prevent damage.

The BS18 LTX Quick has a 4-pole motor, weighs only 4.4 lbs and uses an aluminum die-cast gear housing. Metabo's Variospeed full-wave electronic speed control incorporated into the tool allows the operator to easily vary the speed from the lowest to its maximum value. The drill/driver comes equipped with a chuck ranging from 116" to ½", offers a drilling capacity of ½" in mild steel and 1 3132" in wood. A built-in LED light that makes visibility easier in dark spaces is also featured on the tool.

The BS18 LTX Quick comes standard with a Quick change chuck, Quick change bit holder, side handle, tension ring with bit depot for six bits, 2 Ultra-M 4.0 Ah lithium-ion batteries, an ASC 30 air-cooled quick charger and plastic carrying case.
