The RoboTrex Compact Automation System from LANG Technik was designed to help manufacturers maximize machine utilization, increase productivity, and reduce labor dependency within a compact footprint.

Developed for small-part manufacturing environments, the RoboTrex Compact combines robotic workpiece handling with high-density storage to support extended unattended machining operations.

The system features an integrated FANUC industrial robot capable of automatically loading and unloading workpieces weighing up to 7 kg (15.4 lbs), helping manufacturers increase spindle uptime and improve overall equipment efficiency.

It occupies approximately two square meters of floor space, and the RoboTrex Compact offers substantial storage capacity, accommodating up to 100 Makro•Grip 46 Micro vises or 50 Makro•Grip 77 vises. This capacity enables longer production runs and supports lights-out manufacturing strategies without requiring additional floor space.

The system’s user-friendly control interface and pre-configured robot programming simplify implementation and daily operation. Flexible job management capabilities allow the system to automatically select the appropriate machining program for each workpiece, enabling unattended production of multiple part types within a single manufacturing cycle.
