SC500 Spray Cabin

October 13, 2013

When compressed air is used to blow off oil, dust and other debris from machined parts on the factory floor, these contaminants become airborne and can affect the health and safety of machine operators. The new LNS SC500 Spray Cabin remedies this problem by providing a compact, mobile enclosure for this process that uses a highly effective air filtration system to remove 99 percent of contaminants.

The Spray Cabin includes large, lockable wheels for easy mobility, convenient side trays for holding tools or instruments, and an economical, washable pre-filter. A reliable low-noise, energy-efficient, single-phase motor is also standard, while a 3-phase motor and main filter replacement light are available options.

The SC500 Spray Cabin is the latest addition to the LNS line of Air Filtration Systems including Oil Mist Collectors that use a patented 3-stage filtration system to control the heavy mist created by today's higher RPM machine tools and high-pressure coolant.

    coolant

Fluid that reduces temperature buildup at the tool/workpiece interface during machining. Normally takes the form of a liquid such as soluble or chemical mixtures (semisynthetic, synthetic) but can be pressurized air or other gas. Because of water’s ability to absorb great quantities of heat, it is widely used as a coolant and vehicle for various cutting compounds, with the water-to-compound ratio varying with the machining task. See cutting fluid; semisynthetic cutting fluid; soluble-oil cutting fluid; synthetic cutting fluid.
