TJR AR-5C Pneumatic Collet Rotary Table

CNC Indexing & Feeding Technologies says the TJR AR-5C pneumatic collet rotary table provides an affordable alternative to 3- or 4-jaw chucks for users whose workpieces require the use of 5C collets. The AR-5C rotary table employs a 5C collet closer system and can be integrated into a machine's control as a full 4th axis or operated as an indexer via TJR’s single-axis controller (SAC).

The table features a pneumatic braking system and is available in right-handed and left-handed motor mount configurations. A radial-axial preloaded bearing system provides high rigidity, and a dual-lead worm shaft and worm gear ensure long-term indexing accuracy in both directions.

Table diameter is 125 mm (4.92"), with a through-hole diameter of 35 mm (1.37"). Minimum indexing increment is 0.001˚ and maximum table rotation speed is 83.3 rpm. Peak allowable workpiece load is 100 kg (220 lb). The table weighs 34 kg (75 lb) and servomotor models are available for FANUC or Mitsubishi tapers.

Steve Smith, president of CNC Indexing & Feeding Technologies, said, “The TJR AR-5C pneumatic collet rotary table provides a rigid, accurate way for users to grip and index products suited for 5C collets.”

Related Glossary Terms

  • collet

    collet

Flexible-sided device that secures a tool or workpiece. Similar in function to a chuck, but can accommodate only a narrow size range. Typically provides greater gripping force and precision than a chuck. See chuck.

  • computer numerical control ( CNC)

    computer numerical control ( CNC)

Microprocessor-based controller dedicated to a machine tool that permits the creation or modification of parts. Programmed numerical control activates the machine’s servos and spindle drives and controls the various machining operations. See DNC, direct numerical control; NC, numerical control.

  • through-hole

    through-hole

Hole or cavity cut in a solid shape that connects with other holes or extends all the way through the workpiece.
