Industry News Post

Industry News Posts use sponsored content to present a brand perspective while remaining informative and reader-focused.

Article content
  • Length: 500–1,000 words
  • Tone: Professional and approachable; informative rather than purely promotional
  • Storytelling: Longer-form examples and mild calls to action may be used
Links and measurement
  • Links: Up to two (2) advertiser links in the body copy; paid links are qualified with rel="sponsored" or another appropriate attribute
  • Analytics: Page-view reporting is available; advertisers may supply UTM-tagged destinations for their own measurement
Submission package
  • Images: Provide original high-resolution images, charts or diagrams separately, with permission to publish
  • Author details: Include the author name, title, and a brief bio
Review and timing
  • Editorial review: CTE may edit or reject material for clarity, accuracy, disclosure, style, accessibility and technical fit
  • Final draft: Submit at least two weeks before the publication date
Homepage feed placement
  • Placement: Featured at the top of the homepage feed for one week within the purchased month
  • Scheduling: The specific week is scheduled at CTE’s discretion and subject to availability
  • Disclosure: Paid content is identified as sponsored; advertising does not purchase or guarantee editorial coverage

eNewsletter Ads

Supply one correctly proportioned high-resolution master for each booked placement. The dimensions below are preferred; larger images with identical proportions are accepted. CTE scales that master responsively inside its 600-pixel email frame. Submit JPG or PNG artwork in sRGB, TXT or DOCX copy, the final HTTPS destination and useful alt text. Keep essential logos and text at least 5% inside every edge. Do not add white bars or stretch artwork to fit.

Source fidelity: CTE may optimize a responsive derivative from the exact supplied master, generally targeting 200–250 KB when practical without materially changing its appearance. If the supplied aspect ratio does not match the booked placement, CTE will obtain proof approval for a crop or request corrected artwork; it will not create white bars, stretch the image or substitute a different version.

Advertorial
  • Headline: 3–4 words (must remain on one line)
  • Brief Description: 30 words maximum
  • Preferred image: 600 × 400 pixels (3:2)
  • Email display: Scales responsively to the selected template; supplied dimensions do not determine the final row height
  • Composition: Headline, description and call to action remain live HTML; do not bake them into the image
Box
  • Preferred image: 600 × 500 pixels (6:5)
  • Email display: 300 × 250 pixels
Leaderboard
  • Preferred image: 1200 × 250 pixels (24:5)
  • Email display: 600 × 125 pixels; scales responsively on smaller screens
  • Positions: The same specification applies to top and lower leaderboard placements
Sponsored Video — eNewsletter
  • Headline: 6–10 words
  • Brief Description: 35 words maximum
  • Thumbnail: 1280 × 720 pixels (16:9) preferred; this is also the minimum accepted size
  • Email display: 240 × 135 pixels beside copy; fluid 16:9 when stacked, up to 600 × 338 pixels
  • Video treatment: CTE links the thumbnail to the exact published video and adds its standard play treatment; embedded or autoplay video is not used

Featured Video

Provide a complete, rights-cleared package for a sponsor-attributed CTE video page and promotional placements.

Video and artwork
  • Video: MP4 preferred; H.264 video with AAC audio, 16:9, 1080p preferred. A high-resolution MOV source may be supplied for production.
  • Poster image: 1920×1080 preferred; minimum 1280×720; JPG or PNG
  • Accessibility: Provide captions or an accurate transcript
Copy and destination
  • Headline: 6–10 words
  • Description: Approximately 50–100 words
  • Attribution: Advertiser/company name exactly as it should appear
  • Destination: Final HTTPS landing-page URL, with UTM parameters if desired
Placement
  • CTE page: Sponsor-attributed video page designed for ongoing discovery
  • Promotion: Homepage rotation and an eNewsletter highlight during the contracted period, subject to the insertion order and availability
  • Proof: Title, image, attribution, video and destination must be approved before launch

Dedicated eBlast

Dedicated eBlasts are sold as planned deployments and audience access—not by CPM, a promised contact count or a rented list.

Audience plan
  • Broad-audience deployment: One send to the eligible CTE eNews audience available at scheduling
  • Curated deployment: One send to an agreed audience built from available, verified subscriber attributes and campaign fit
  • Privacy: CTE does not disclose or transfer its subscriber list to the advertiser
CTE-built email
  • Copy: Subject line, preheader, headline, body copy and call-to-action wording
  • Images: JPG, PNG or GIF; supply separate high-resolution files plus alt text
  • Links: Final HTTPS URLs for every linked element; UTM parameters may be included
  • Layout: A PDF, DOCX or annotated image may be supplied as visual direction
Advertiser-supplied HTML
  • Build: Responsive, table-based email HTML with inline CSS; aim to keep HTML under 100 KB
  • Do not include: JavaScript, forms, embedded video, autoplay, external stylesheets or unsupported web fonts
  • Images: Use secure HTTPS image URLs and keep total image weight practical for inbox delivery
  • CTE controls: Sender identity, required disclosures, physical address, unsubscribe/preferences links, suppression and final technical testing
Proof and scheduling
  • Approval: Subject, preheader, body, links and test rendering must be approved before scheduling
  • Frequency: CTE ordinarily limits broad-audience email to one list-wide send per day; curated sends may share a date only when audience overlap and frequency remain acceptable
  • Final audience: Eligible recipients are determined at scheduling after consent, inactivity, bounce, complaint, duplicate and suppression controls

Sponsored Social

Platform specifications change frequently. These are CTE’s preferred production inputs; the final requirement is confirmed when the post is scheduled.

Sponsored post
  • Copy: Up to 280 characters preferred, including disclosure and call to action
  • Image: 1200×628 landscape or 1080×1080 square; JPG or PNG
  • Video: MP4, 1080p preferred, 16:9 or 1:1; captions strongly recommended
  • Destination: Final HTTPS URL and exact advertiser attribution
  • Disclosure: CTE identifies paid social content as sponsored or advertising
