The CRAZYDRILL Crosspilot is one of the very successful tools in the CRAZYDRILL line of high precision, high performance, solid carbide drills of Mikron. It is used to drill inclined holes and does the traditional operation of Flat Milling, NC Spot Drilling and the actual drilling with a twist drill in two steps instead of three. The benefits are: High positioning accuracy, excellent alignment accuracy and the elimination of one tool. It has a very robust design, a special tip geometry (170°) and guarantees perfect centering for the subsequent drilling operation. The tool is available from dia. 0.394" (0.40mm) to 0.5906" (6.00mm) from Mikron Corp. Monroe, CT.
