Port mills: interpolate the port

The discussion covers port mills for AS5202 and SAE J1926 forms. Falk explains how interpolation can let one tool address multiple tube sizes, an option for shops balancing limited tool capacity, smaller CNC equipment or high-mix work. White also discusses uncoated and Versa AlCrN-coated options.

Port kits: tools for the sequence

The second part introduces kits for ferrous and nonferrous materials. One configuration pairs a step drill with a reamer-style port tool and a thread mill. Another uses a minor-diameter drill, a port tool without a reamer and a thread mill. The speakers discuss matching the tools and coatings to the material being cut.
