DLHR Series High-Resolution, Low-Pressure Sensor

All Sensors Corp. has announced a brand new low pressure sensor, the DLHR series. This new devices series reportedly offers design engineers superior performance over lower pressure ranges of 0.5 to 60 inH2O, compared to the DLH. The DLHR series provides higher resolution than any other fully compensated low-pressure sensor on the market, according to the company.

NX Software with Convergent Modeling

The latest version of Siemens' NX software (NX 11) reportedly delivers a breakthrough in digital product development with Convergent Modeling, a new modeling paradigm that simplifies the ability to work with geometry consisting of a combination of facets, surfaces and solids, without the need for time-consuming data conversion. Convergent Modeling will help engineers optimize part design for 3D printing, speed up the overall design process and make reverse engineering a far more common and efficient practice in product design.

Laser Line Generator

A new series of laser line generators from Coherent Inc. enables the detection of smaller features in machine vision applications based on triangulation. Specifically, StingRay µFocus (Micro Focus) lasers feature a linewidth that is 40 percent smaller than standard Coherent StingRay products (at the same working distance), and can achieve focused linewidths as small as 20 µm, thus providing increased spatial resolution and the ability to discern finer details.
