Absolute Machine Tools Inc. names David Grega as COO

Absolute Machine Tools Inc., Lorain, Ohio, has hired David Grega as COO. He will oversee the operation of Absolute's technical centers in Lorain and Mason, Ohio; Livonia, Mich.; and Elgin, Ill.

He has a long history in the machine tool industry. Grega began his career as an apprentice toolmaker for White Machine Inc., North Royalton, Ohio, then worked selling and servicing machining equipment from a wide selection of manufacturers. In 2001, he opened his own distributorship representing Fadal, Brea, Calif.; Giddings & Lewis, Fond du Lac, Wis.; Romi USA, Erlanger, Ky.; and Yama Seiki USA, Chino, Calif. After 15 years, Grega became an engineering manager at DMG Mori USA, Hoffman Estates, Ill., in charge of assisting the sales, service and applications engineering departments. He joined Absolute Machine Tools in May.
