Acme Industrial Co., Carpentersville, Ill., a subsidiary of Jergens Inc., promoted George Margelos to general manager. Margelos had previously been Acme’s Plant Manager since joining the company in 1996. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, a BA from DePaul University and is a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker.
“George is very much in tune with Acme’s customer-driven culture,” said John Evans, president of Acme Industrial. “He led our push to ISO 9001 and AS9100C certification and is fully oriented to the customer service and quality standards that guide the company. Acme Industrial Company is a major manufacturer of keylocking threaded inserts for industrial and military use (MS/NAS style inserts). The company also makes keylocking studs (MS51833 and MS51834), Swage- Sert® Thinwall Threaded Inserts (M45932/1) and drill bushing products.
