Benz Inc., Hickory, N.C., which produces CNC tooling for the metal, wood and composites industries, named Brian Krin the Southeast regional sales manager for metal tooling.
“Benz is very excited about adding Brian Krin to our sales team,” said John Rosa, national sales manager of the metal division. “His extensive manufacturing and industrial distribution experience will be an asset to helping Benz’s customers find new ways to build their businesses by increasing their productivity and profitability.”
Krin began working in the machine tool industry operating screw machines at age 15. He then advanced to become a journeyman toolmaker machining aircraft alloys, fixtures, dies and repairs. After training in manufacturing, he accepted an inside sales position followed by 15 years in outside sales with American Tool Supply Inc., Chicopee, Mass. Krin then joined B&F Machine Co., New Britain, Conn., where he managed purchasing, bought tooling and capital equipment, initiated a vending program and negotiated contracts for material and shipping. Prior to joining Benz, he relocated to the Southeast, where he developed new territory for a local industrial distributor organization.
