Ceratizit has added Carlos Garza as the company’s new business development leader for the oil and gas industry sector.

Garza brings more than 25 years of manufacturing experience to Ceratizit’s U.S. cutting tools division. In addition to operating and programming manual lathes and mills as well as CNC lathes and mills with advanced 5-axis capabilities, Garza holds various certificates in CAD/CAM and 3D tool design.

"Carlos’ wealth of knowledge and experience benefits our oil and gas customers because his vast network of end-users and long-standing relationships with channel partners allow him to evaluate every perspective,” said Dave Conger, Garza’s supervisor and Ceratizit USA National Sales Manager, West. “Further, his natural leadership skills and positive attitude foster an environment of cooperation and problem solving.”

A long-time resident of the Houston, Texas area, Garza is near four top-producing oil and gas states with Texas leading the U.S. in both energy sources. At the same time, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Louisiana rank in the top 10 for oil and gas production.

“Being hands-on and collaborating with customers to address unique tooling challenges is the most rewarding part of my work,” said Garza. “I really enjoy being on the shop floor or in the field with a team of people and delivering a solution they need.”
