Hartwig Inc. names executive vice president of operations

Seth MachlusSt. Louis, Missouri – Hartwig Inc. is proud to announce the promotion of Seth Machlus to Executive Vice President, Operations.  Previously, Mr. Machlus held the title of Vice President, Operations for the past five years. “The change in title is an opportunity to recognize the impact and dedication Seth has embodied during his 10 years with the organization,” said Geoff Hartwig, President. “Seth has taken on various projects, challenges, and served on our leadership team as our company has grown. We look forward to his continued efforts developing the business and strengthening our organization in support of our customers and manufactures.”

“For me this is just an amazing continuation of a role and opportunity,” says Machlus.  “Some people have jobs and others have careers; for me, it is the latter.  I get to work with one of the finest machine tool and technology distributors in the country and work alongside so many of the finest people in the industry.  Ten years ago, the Hartwig family took a chance on me, and I will continue to do everything in my power to support the company and our 190 teammates.” 

Mr. Machlus began his career in the Manufacturing industry when he joined Okuma America Corporation in Charlotte, NC back in 2001.  Before Okuma, he spent time working with several Information Technology startup companies in the Southeast. 

Seth holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a minor in Economics from the University of Florida in Gainesville.  In addition to his degree, he has his CMTSE certification along with various computer technology certifications.
