Christopher "Chris" Mendicino established Kairos Manufacturing Solutions, Sturbridge, Mass., in partnership with Adion Systems, Vancouver, British Columbia, the developer of ProShop comprehensive enterprise resource planning management software, to sell and support ProShop in the New England region. The reseller contract with Adion Systems authorizes Kairos Manufacturing Solutions to resell, install, train on and support ProShop, providing local dedicated care to manufacturers in a territory covering Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Mendicino’s entire professional career has consisted of selling, supporting, training on and developing manufacturing software technology. Most recently, he was a product manager with MACDAC Engineering Inc., Somers, Conn. His experience in CAD, CAM, DNC communications, machine data collection and information technology systems served to spark his recognition of a gap in the market for a user-friendly, functional, comprehensive ERP resource in the manufacturing sector. After meeting the founders of Adion Systems, both parties spent several months discussing a reseller agreement to bring dedicated, local support and sales of ProShop to New England.
“Manufacturers who use any sort of machining in their process are typically forced to implement additional software beyond their ERP system to supplement its functionality,” said Mendicino. “While the manufacturing industry is gearing up for Industry 4.0 and IIoT, ERP systems need to evolve as central storehouses and analytics platforms for digesting and presenting data in a valuable, meaningful and straightforward format for users. ProShop is the only platform I’ve seen that is powerfully tackling the entire manufacturing process in that manner, and I wanted to be instrumental in providing this solution to shops large and small in New England.”
