Knuth Machine Tools USA Inc. celebrates anniversary

Knuth Machine Tools USA Inc. is celebrating its 15th anniversary.  Founded in Germany in 1923, KNUTH is a worldwide leader in manufacturing and supplying the widest range of metalworking machinery in the industry.  KNUTH Machine Tools USA was opened in 2003 in Wheeling, IL.  Goetz Waehner was one of the first employees in the US, and is still with KNUTH USA today as National Service Manager.  He has some fond memories of traveling to trade shows with Mr. Knuth before we even had a location established in the US.

In 2007 the company outgrew the first 15,000 sq. foot building in Wheeling, IL and moved to a 65,000 sq. ft. facility in Lincolnshire, IL.  KNUTH’s warehouse provides customers with extensive inventory for immediate delivery.

Today KNUTH USA has more than doubled their number of employees and is expanding their reach from North & Central America to include South America.  KNUTH has over 400 employees worldwide and has established a comprehensive dealer network of over 65 partners in the Americas.  Daniel Maerklin, President of KNUTH Machine Tools USA is proud of the growth, stating, “Our strategy of customer-focused friendly employees selling a high quality product at the best price has paid off.”

In addition to sales, the KNUTH Machine Tools USA facility has a complete service, application and parts department including an on-site machine shop.  KNUTH has focused on providing excellent customer service, implementing a system to guarantee a call back within 30 minutes.  In 2015 KNUTH Machine Tools service department was acknowledged with the Stevie® Award in the category Best Customer Service Department of the Year.
