Marposs Corp., a leader in measurement, inspection and test technologies, has named Scott Lukomski as its EV business director.

The company said that Lukomski’s appointment bolsters its development of quality management solutions to keep up with the growing need of EV manufacturers to reduce operational costs, improve business processes, and manage critical aspects of vehicle safety and longevity.

Lukomski has a 25-year career focused on quality in manufacturing and engineering, originally working for Marposs as a GM account manager from 1997- 2002.  Since then, he has continued to expand his quality control experience with automotive OEMs and Tier companies through tenures at companies such as Perceptron and Jenoptik Automotive.

In his new role at Marposs, he is charged with directing the network of salespeople and distribution partners to grow business in the electric vehicle sector, including battery testing, electric motor testing, machine monitoring and other solutions.

“Yesterday, the measurement and inspection challenges revolved around the key components of the internal combustion engine, and today, they’re firmly focused on propulsion systems for battery electric vehicles,” Lukomski said. “It’s my goal to make Marposs a resource for all manufacturers in the new propulsion industry and help them as they build their businesses.”

Marposs aims to establish themselves as a reliable partner for solving EV manufacturing challenges. “Our long-term experience in process control and quality assurance, together with the aptitude to solve problems with an innovative approach, can be leveraged to face the various obstacles that electro-mobility presents,” said Franco Stanghellini, industry manager for electric vehicles.
