Machine tool builder Okuma America Corp. and machine tool distributor Morris South have partnered to host Southern Tech Fest, June 24—25, at Morris South's Tech Center and Okuma's Partners in THINC facility in Charlotte, N.C.
Attendees will learn how to maximize spindle uptime and throughput and see a variety of machines and cutting demonstrations, according to the companies. New CNC technology, tooling and workholding will be on display and smart machining strategies will be discussed. Guests will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from Okuma, Morris South, Tsugami, members of Partners in THINC and other suppliers.
This event includes a daily continental breakfast and BBQ lunch, with after-hours refreshments and hors d'oeuvres served from 5-7 pm on June 24. The Richard Childress #3 Cheerios NASCAR show car will be on display. A special $500 Morris South voucher (one per company in attendance) applicable towards machine maintenance, repair or engineering services will be given away.
