Pferd Inc., Milwaukee, a global manufacturer and distributor of abrasives, brushes and power tools, appointed Michael Roche as account manager of the pipeline market. He will report to Jon-Michael Raymond, vice president of sales. Roche will be responsible for developing strong working relationships with pipeline channel customers in the U.S. and Canada while providing technical solutions from Pferd's product portfolio.
"It's a return engagement for Michael," said President Gene Huegin. "He previously worked for Pferd in a similar capacity, and we're glad to have him back. We have a strong offering ideal for the pipeline industry and are excited to have Michael on board to promote and educate users on Pferd solutions for their specific applications. His comprehensive background in the industry, both domestic and abroad, will allow him to be of excellent support to our customers and will help fortify Pferd's brand equity and strengthen our position in the industry."

Roche was product manager for PSS Cos., Houston. Prior to that, he was manager of pipeline markets for Pferd and co-owner of NorTech Specialized Services.
