Sandvik has appointed Johanna Kreft as executive vice president and general counsel, effective October 13, 2025.
Kreft, who currently holds a similar role at Alleima, will also be a member of Sandvik's Group Executive Management.
"Johanna Kreft has proven strong leadership skills, experience from developing a Legal function at a listed company, and extensive knowledge of Sandvik. I am convinced that she will be a very good fit for the role and that she will be a strong addition to the Group Management," said Stefan Widing, President and CEO of Sandvik.
Johanna Kreft, born in 1976, has a long background from Sandvik that spans over 15 years. Prior to the spin-off of Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT) as Alleima from Sandvik in 2022, she was Business Area General Counsel at SMT. Previous roles also include Chief Legal Counsel at SMT, as well as in-house counsel at Sandvik AB. She replaces Åsa Thunman, who according to previous communication is leaving Sandvik for a similar position at the Swedish project development and construction group Skanska.
