Vero Software appoints tech manager of the Americas

Lee Richards named Vero Software's tech manager of the AmericasVero Software recently promoted Lee Richards to oversee the technical teams for the company's Edgecam and Surfcam brands, according to a news release from the England-based company. Richards' appointment as technical manager of the Americas reportedly positions the software company to extend and improve its services for a growing customer base.

"I am extremely proud to be moving into my new role as technical manager of the Americas," Richards said. "Since becoming part of the Hexagon team, Vero has seen a significant change in how we use technology within the group. Working with our technical teams, I am excited to be a part of that which will ultimately give our customers a better user experience with our products."

In his new role, Richards will be working closely with the two technical teams to provide support to Vero’s direct sales teams, as well as to resellers and customers in the Americas. Vero's technical teams provide tech support, training, custom-programming and post-processor writing services for thousands of customers and a robust reseller channel in the Americas.

Since joining Vero Software in 2007, Richards has worked in a variety of technical roles for the company’s Edgecam brand. From 2012 to late 2015, he served as pre-sales manager, a position that enabled him to support Vero’s direct sales channel in the United Kingdom, as well as account managers for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Vero Software, which is part of Hexagon, supplies products to more than 45 countries through its wholly owned subsidiaries and reseller network.
