Vero Software Ltd., Cheltenham, England, hired Application Engineer Kevin Wedderburn to support customers who use the company’s SMIRT software products for the tooling industry.
Based in Vero’s Southfield, Michigan, office, Wedderburn will lend his extensive academic and practical expertise to the success of SMIRT users.
“I am really excited about joining the Vero team. I look forward to playing an instrumental role in supporting the SMIRT brand customers, both locally and globally,” Wedderburn says. “When I think of my role as application engineer, it pleases me to know that I will have the opportunity to learn a variety of cutting-edge software applications pertinent to the automotive tool and die industry. I am eager to use that knowledge to enhance our customers’ experience with our various software applications.”
Wedderburn graduated from Morgan State University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in engineering physics and went on to obtain a master’s degree in applied physics from North Carolina A & T State University in 2004.
He has since worked as a physics instructor and tutor at the community college level and as a CNC machinist for the past five and a half years. Having gained a great deal of experience in CNC machining, Wedderburn has chosen to expand his manufacturing career in the support realm by joining the Vero team.
