Marposs Corp. has announced its Ready2Probe software application to assist CNC users when programming cycles for measuring and checking components and tools using Mida spindle probes, lasers, TBD (Tool Breakage Detector) and VTS (Visual Tool Setter). Using simple-to-understand icons and menus, Ready2Probe assists users in commands and codes to generate the measurement cycle within seconds, based upon the machine tool part program. This helps to reduce programming time and errors when generating G code while improving quality assurance.

CNC Software Inc. announces the release of Mastercam 2019. It is available for purchase. Mastercam 2019 was developed to streamline the manufacturing process from job setup to job completion. Mastercam 2019 increases machining productivity and reduces overall production costs with new 2D through multiaxis milling automation features, CAD and model preparation improvements, expanded 3D tooling, Accelerated Finishing and powerful turning and Mill-Turn enhancements.

AccuteX's new AL-600SA CNC Wire EDM is from Absolute Machine Tools. The AL-600SA moving-table model can be fully equipped with 6-axis capability, PCD cutting circuit, and AccuteX's exclusive linear shaft motors that provide a 10-year positioning guarantee. These motors were designed and built fully in-house specifically for AccuteX wire EDMs. This concept ensures enhanced precision and performance with its maintenance-free design, 10 percent faster cutting, HIWIN linear guideways, 0.000004" Fagor glass scales and 64 bit processing.

Quicktech i-42 ROBO (pictured) and i-60 ROBO 4-axis mill-turn centers feature integrated 6-axis Mitsubishi robots for fast, automated loading and unloading of medium-diameter (i42: 42mm/1.68", i60: 60mm/2.36") bar stock. In addition to carrying out highly productive turning, the machines can perform complex milling with standard live tools.
