Renishaw introduces the new Equator 500, which is designed to gage larger parts with all the benefits of the Equator 300 gaging system.

PowerMill is Autodesk's CAM software for high-speed and 5-axis machining. It offers a comprehensive range of strategies and powerful editing tools to ensure efficient, safe and accurate machining, especially for companies that are using sophisticated CNC machine tools to produce complex shapes in challenging materials. PowerMill is used in a range of industries but is particularly successful in mold, tool and die, complex aerospace and automotive applications.

Mazak's HCN-5000 horizontal machining center is now available with the company's Multi-Pallet Pool (MPP) system, a basic automation system in a compact footprint. Thanks to the MPP system, shops that lack the floor space necessary to accommodate a conventional linear horizontal pallet stocker have the ability to automate for continuous unmanned, lights-out operations.

GMTA (German Machine Tools of America) represents the FIMAT line of gear and spline machine tools in North America. The highlight of the line is the RM series of electromechanical spline rolling machines, which feature rolling slides, driven by planetary roller screws and direct drive torque motors.

Lach Diamond says dressing with the diamond dressing roll »drebojet-plus«, which emerged from the PCD diamond dressing roll »drebojet« at the beginning of the 80s, is a noteworthy innovation simply because the presented type of drebojet dressing rolls for the CNC dressing respectively profiling of conventional grinding wheels are maintenance free and do not have to be sent back to the manufacturer for expensive maintenance service.

The new GARANT disc brushes from the Hoffmann Group are designed to boost efficiency and enhance precision during the finishing process. These high-tech brushes are suitable for direct application in a CNC machine or a robot cell, providing an automated way of finishing workpieces immediately after the machining process – with reproducible, reliable results. That means less time spent on setup and improved throughput.

The standard version ROBODRILL α-D21iB5 is FANUC's high-speed, high-precision small machining center with FANUC standard CNC installed and spindle taper size of No. 30. FANUC says it has engineered the ROBODRILL machine center to address all machining needs for its class.

A single-station CNC microfinishing system processes a family of 68 aerospace control surface actuation shafts to better than 0.1 Ra, while creating a functional surface for the component. Other tribological surface parameters are used for this post-grinding application on HVOC (tungsten carbide) coated steel shafts.

Doosan Machine Tools announces that its PUMA SMX super multitasking turning centers are now available with a lower turret for enhanced versatility and productivity. The turret will be available on both the 10" chuck (PUMA SMX2600ST) and 12" chuck (PUMA SMX3100ST) models.

FlexDrill CNC introduces the TRD family of vertical machining centers, which drills, mills, taps and bevels large or long parts in a single setup. Alternately, the long open bed, coupled with the movable safety light curtain, allows multiple setups, so that while the TRD is machining one part, another is being loaded (or offloaded).

Mazak's new Ultimate Die & Mold (UD) 400/5X vertical machining center delivers 5-axis machining in a small footprint platform. Suitable for applications ranging from medical and dental instruments to mold and die components and beyond, the machine sports a rigid base and double-column symmetrical construction that allow its spindle to reach high levels of precision and speed.

The application fields of part cleaning processes using aqueous media range from coarse through intermediate to fine and ultrafine cleaning.
