The new TRAUB TNL32-11 sliding/fixed headstock automatic lathe has a headstock moving in the Z-axis, an upper and identical lower turret with X, Y, and Z-axes, and a counter spindle movable in the X and Z directions.

THINBIT, manufactured by Kaiser Tool Co., announces the expansion of its GROOVE 'N TURN line of dovetail grooving inserts. Dovetail grooving inserts are used to machine O-ring dovetail grooves with 66° undercut angles.

Ultimately, these are re extinguishing systems designed to protect your machines by detecting when there is a re present and extinguishing it before it has chance to develop and cause extensive damage.

Mahr Federal, Providence, R.I., recently introduced an "entry level" surface finish and contour measuring system capable of generating both surface and contour measurements in a single pass, according to a company news release issued Jan. 21.
