Due to pending regulations regarding the use of chlorinated paraffins in metalworking fluids, Condat Copr. has introduced a high-performance, chlorine-free cutting oil. The new Condacut DP 415 uses innovative EP additives with an inactive sulphur-based chemistry. The unique formulation provides positive characteristics for all types of machining applications but was specifically designed for screw machining process.

HPT nozzles expand the working pressure range to a maximum 1,000 psi, allowing a higher level of machining while providing the same Loc-Line quality end users come to expect. The CT (compact turret) is for tight spaces and the XR (extended rotation) is also available.

With the ever increasing demand to position and hold more weight and higher pressures, Loc-Line introduces its ¾" element clamps. The ¾" system has been used to successfully deliver large amounts of fluid, hold heavy objects and large shields.

Italy-based Samputensili S.p.A. unveiled a machine that eliminates the need for cutting oils when manufacturing gears, thereby reducing grinding costs. During grinding, oil-based lubricants cool the workpiece, as well as reduce friction and help evacuate chips. On the downside, however, oil use accounts for a significant amount of a grinding operation's total cost.

Filtration system manufacturer Vomat, Treuen, Germany, supports grinding operations with sophisticated fine filtration technology that contributes to the overall process of producing high quality tools economically, according to a recent news release from oelheld U.S. Inc. When it comes to the filtration of metal coolants, oelheld cautioned tool manufacturers not compromise.

Walter has introduced Walter Turn Precision Coolant, a powerful and targeted coolant delivery system that produces a direct coolant supply through the insert clamp and along the flank face of the insert. The result is said to be a 30- to 150-percent increase in tool life (depending on material and coolant pressure) for stainless materials, high temperature alloys and steels.
