BIG KAISER introduces two versions of the C-Centering Cutter, a multifunction cutter capable of spot drilling, centering and chamfering. The C-Centering Cutter is an indexable cutter that uses a specialized insert that can start a hole from a solid piece, something extremely difficult to do. It can also perform spot drilling and 90-degree chamfering at the same time or can strictly be used for hole chamfering.

Emuge Corp. has introduced its patented Punch Tap Line in North America. The Emuge Punch Tap is for helical thread forming in cast and wrought aluminum alloys and similar lightweight materials. Emuge Punch Taps provide a new, shortened tool path process for producing internal threads in under half a second, resulting in significantly less energy consumption during the machining process and a reduction in threading time by 75 percent compared to cold forming and conventional tapping.

An easy to use, manual flange facing tool that reconditions damaged raised- and flat-face flanges in the field to eliminate the need to cut and replace them has been introduced by Esco Tool. The Esco FLANGE HOG 110 is a manually operated hand tool that re-faces damaged pipe flanges with a phonographic finish on-site and eliminates the need to cut and weld new flanges.

Connecting rods are highly stressed engine parts. To take account of downsizing and the reduction of CO2 emissions, connecting rods are also becoming increasingly lighter. This is achieved on the one hand through the use of high-strength and innovative materials, and on the other hand through modern production processes. This also changes the shape of the connecting rods and the variety of shapes increases. MAPAL offers the complete process for machining different types of connecting rods – whether on the transfer line or the machining center, as well as for wet or MQL machining.

Walter has introduced the new A60 and AG60 inserts for small to medium pitch threads. Just like the existing MX geometries (CF5 and GD8 for grooving and parting, RF5 for grooving and copy turning), the new MX geometries A60/AG60 provide long tool life, fine surface quality and process reliability. The inserts have four cutting edges.

The CrazyMill Cool P&S enables users to drill and mill into slots and pockets in extremely small spaces.
