BIG KAISER introduces two versions of the C-Centering Cutter, a multifunction cutter capable of spot drilling, centering and chamfering. The C-Centering Cutter is an indexable cutter that uses a specialized insert that can start a hole from a solid piece, something extremely difficult to do.

Emuge Corp. has introduced its patented Punch Tap Line in North America. The Emuge Punch Tap is for helical thread forming in cast and wrought aluminum alloys and similar lightweight materials.

Walter has introduced the new A60 and AG60 inserts for small to medium pitch threads. Cyclo-Palloid tooth profiles can be milled with specialized cutting tools. The tooth profiles are produced in multiple rouging and finishing passes. Internal and external spur gears can be produced with single tooth or progressive tooth broaching tools. Broaching tools can be turret mounted or used in a reciprocating attachment.

The new Cermet WEP10 indexable turning inserts from Walter deliver long tool life and high productivity. Their fine-grain titanium carbide substrate with Ni/Co binder produces a stable cutting edge. Combined with an extremely hard TiCN outer layer, this grade provides multiple advantages during finishing operations when compared to carbide inserts.
