Tungaloy Corp. announces the expansion of DrillMeister, a head-changeable drill series. The drill body line is now expanded to L/D=12 in addition to the existing L/D=8 range.

Emuge Corp. has announced the opening of a new technology center, located at the company's North American headquarters in West Boylston, MA, USA. The center, designed to be a full-service resource for manufacturers to apply cutting tool application strategies, is equipped with the latest 3 and 5-axis vertical machining centers, precision measuring devices and tool monitoring, in addition to an interactive classroom for training and seminars. The technology center will serve customers across the U.S. and Canada, enabling manufacturing professionals to test cut their applications and develop milling, drilling, and threading strategies to optimize tool life and performance and reduce cycle times.

WS40PM's cobalt-rich substrate provides robust fatigue resistance and edge integrity, while the multiphase AlTiN-TiN PVD coating reduces tool wear, making it suitable for a range of high-temp steel alloys, austenitic and PH stainless steels, nickel-based superalloys such as Hastelloy and Nitronic, and titanium.

Kennametal is expanding its Mill 4 family with a new cutting tool, the Mill 4-11. Designed for smaller machining centers, the Mill 4-11 accommodates 40-taper CAT and BT, HSK 50 and similarly-sized spindles. Due to its free-cutting capabilities, it is ideal for successful metal removal in less-than-rigid setups and on light-duty machine tools, multitaskers and live-tool lathes.

Master Magnetics' family of neodymium lifting magnets is flexing their muscle with the addition of a new, stronger capacity model. The newest addition has a lifting rating of 4,400 lbs. on flat material.

Introduced as PRECISIONLIGHT, this new program of HSS drills will reportedly provide affordable reliability together with a level of service and support consistent with that of the balance of the Dormer Pramet broad product offering.
