Niagara Cutter, a subsidiary of Seco Tools LLC, launched its new Niagara Cutter Stabilizer 2.0 next-generation family of endmills. The Stabilizer 2.0 cutters incorporate patented continuous variable asymmetrical geometries and provide incredibly smooth and chatter-free performance that allows feed rates to be doubled as compared with previous models.

Cast iron drilling has taken a significant step forward with an expanded insert range for new diameters in the high-speed Color Select P6005-WKK45C grade for Xtra·tec B401x point drills. These new inserts are available in diameters up to 1.50 in. (37.99 mm).

Kyocera's new CA3-series CVD-coated carbide inserts are for turning cast iron. The CA3-series grades with new K-series chipbreakers have become powerful contenders for gray and nodular cast iron machining applications, according to the company.

YG-1 says its ONLY ONE endmills are made of a new composition of P/M accompanied by the latest coating technology, giving this tool excellent wear and shock resistance. The substrate/coating combination provides for better adhesion and a stronger cutting edge without compromising shock resistance.

PCT's NXC series is engineered specifically for nickel-based drilling applications. The tool's design features a double- margin geometry, coolant holes and a slow helix to provide you with advanced chip evacuation and a stronger cutting edge.

PCT says its IXC series is engineered with a 45° protective corner chamfer and coolant holes to eliminate chipping on the cutting edge and permit efficient chip evacuation. The tool's design consists of distinctive triple-margin for advanced precision and a smooth finish on the part.

Sandvik Coromant has introduced its M612 facemill, a product engineered specifically for the roughing stainless steel turbo housings. The tool's positive geometry has the effect of providing a smoother cutting action, which helps machine shops to eliminate vibration.

J.W. Winco, Inc. offers GN 417 metric zinc die-cast indexing plunger latch mechanisms with rest position. The RoHS compliant indexing plunger latch mechanisms are used for applications where the plunger has to stay in its retracted position.

Anyone who's replaced a head gasket on an internal combustion engine knows a smooth, flat surface on both cylinder head and block is needed for proper operation.
