KKH cartridge modules take all customized fine boring tooling, whether they are designed by SwissBore or not, and turn them into a state-of-the-art fine boring solution that have one thing in common: they are all digital ready. The cartridge modules allows both radial and axial adjustments. Radial adjustments are possible without influencing axial position, making fine adjustments of the cutting edge position exceptionally efficient and precise.

This expansion increases GH730 grade options of the VST and VTB slot milling heads and the VTR thread milling heads. A PVD grade consisting of extremely wear-resistant coating layer, combined with a tough carbide substrate dedicated to the coating, GH730 provides much better wear resistance than the previous generation GH130. These characteristics provide the grade with long, predictable tool life during threading and grooving operations.

The CoroMill MR80 assortment offers cylindrical and arbor cutter bodies, with diameters from 32 to 100 mm, 3 to 12 cutting teeth and even pitch and shim protection. All cutter bodies feature internal coolant supply. The double-sided E-L50 inserts offer true and easy indexing (6 + 6), with a 3 mm recommended depth of cut.

AP&T's engineers have equipped the press with a closed, robust hydraulic system with a small oil volume and few components. Thanks to the modular system, each press can be optimized to use one or more cylinders depending on the application. The cartridges provides the possibility to design custom tools incorporating the ES-Bore lay down cartridges, allowing customers to receive special tools within a shorter delivery time and at a lower cost. Additionally, the release of the new fine boring cartridges gives customers the opportunity to build their own special tool because the customer only needs an ES-Bore lay down cartridge that can be mounted onto the boring bar being manufactured.

The cutter heads are designed to meet nearly all requirements, offering ISO standard cutter heads with the SL-Serration Lock interface for various applications like longitudinal turning, roughing, profile turning, threading, and more.

The insert of the Supermini Type 105 system requires only one tool holder for well over 1,000 insert variants. This applies equally to left-hand and right-hand versions. The carbide inserts are available in coated and uncoated versions in different grades for every application including hard machining up to 66 HRC. The patented droplet shape of the cross-section has a vibration-damping effect and delivers excellent repeatability when changing the insert. Internal coolant supply to the insert increases tool life, enhances cutting performance and improves chip removal.
