HGV Water Plug Machining Tool

The tool's CERATIZIT R84 fine boring indexable inserts feature a brand new reaming geometry specifically designed for exceptional hole finishing. The system handles axial grooves from dia. 2.362-in (60 mm), cutting depths up to 1.299-in (33 mm), with insert width of 0.197-in (5 mm). The new system delivers maximum productivity and cutting parameters due to optimal cooling, strength and controlled chip breaking, along with high cost-efficiency due to two cutting edges. Axial grooving is effective when the groove depth is 1.5 times greater than the groove width, but to be successful axial grooving requires dedicated tooling and a dedicated chip control insert.

For proper material preparation The KBC Pneumatic Hand Chamfering Tool allows you to remove burrs easily and quickly to create a uniform edge with repeatable accuracy up to almost 1mm depth, prepare metal for welding jobs and clean them up after, and a host of other needs in the machine shop or on site. TungCut Multifunctional Grooving System

For job shops that are mass-producing small parts with Swiss lathes, minimizing material waste in the part-off process can be an extremely effective solution for cost savings. The 1.2 mm-wide (.047″-wide) grooving inserts can reduce the material waste produced by parting-off by up to 40% when compared with using 2.0 mm-wide (.079″-wide) insert. This translates to, after 2,500 cuts, the saving of a 2,000 mm-long (78.74″ long) bar stock.
