KOMA Precision Inc. Vice President of Sales Andrew Esposito graciously took a few minutes during Eastec 2023 to provide an overview of the products available through KOMA, including Tsudakoma rotary tables, Alberti angle heads and live tools, as well as KOMAls own line of presetters. n

These lightweight yet quality plastic parts provide a high-end solution with defined load capacities. Depending on the tightening torque of the screw connections, JW Winco lists the axial extraction force, the radial torsional moment, and the rotation moment if an articulated axis is present. The connectors are designed to fully encompass typical construction tubes to create a nonpositive clamping connection.

Sales Engineer Emily Brunnschweiler provides an overview of the products featured at the ZOLLER Inc. booth during Eastec 2023. On display were the »pomBasic« inspection solution, the »genius« universal measuring system, the »smile 420« tool presetter, the »toolBalancer 550«, the »powerShrink 600«, the »redomatic 400« heat-shrink presetter, as well as a variety of toolholders and tool management solutions.

The aluminium collars are much easier to machine compared to steel. This more readily enables customization, a requirement if the collar needs to fit specific shaft designs or dimensions, either for retrofit or new machine builds. Along with this capability, aluminium shares a similar anti-corrosion performance to stainless steel, ensuring increased durability.

The CorePlus gas connect console is positioned between the current Core and VWI (Vented Water Injection) consoles and introduces argon gas capability for customers that primarily cut mild steel. The gas console offers all Core console capabilities plus argon marking and an increase in piercing thickness with argon-assist enhanced piercing capability.n

Designed with low inertia cycling components makes the Posidyne clutch brake more efficient, requiring less motor horsepower to accelerate the load, and less torque to stop the load. Their totally enclosed design is impervious to dust, chips, chemicals, coolants, caustic wash down, weather, and more, making them ideal for hostile environments. They are field proven in diverse applications such as lumber mills, shingle plants, fiberglass insulation production, food processing, packaging, metalworking, and more.

The V-TYPE lever's fixing flanges are engineered to be identical to those of traditional models, ensuring that new housings with the V-TYPE can replace the old version without affecting interchangeability or requiring changes to dimensions, flanges, or mounting positions. The V-TYPE lever is offered in both bulkhead and surface-mounted configurations, with a single lever available for size 44.27 and double levers available for sizes 57.27, 77.27, and 104.27.

Offered in a wide range of sizes, the hinges are available in steel as well as stainless steel, and there's also a version with a grease port, enabling regular lubrication. WDS has further expanded its range of continuous hinges, also known as piano hinges. Originally designed for piano lids, these long, continuous hinge designs add stability as well as safety, preventing finger traps in a closing door. Originally stocked in 1.8m lengths for the customer to cut down to size, WDS now provides continuous hinges in various sizes starting from 1m, meaning they're ready to be installed without modification. These hinges are available in stainless steel as well as zinc-coated steel. n

The durable construction of both L-Series models consists of a long, thin, and rigid stainless-steel tube body. The tube features a lens on one end and a light source (sold separately) on the other. The tube further contains an optical fiber bundle that transmits light from an external light source, thereby illuminating the area under inspection. The image is then transmitted by the fiberscope lens to an eyepiece or camera for remote viewing and diagnostics.

Nakanishi E-speed from NSK America Corp. is a broad line of high-speed, ultra-precision, electric-motor spindles for lathes, robotics and specialty purpose machines. Utilizing DC brushless motors up to 80,000 rpm and less than 1 micron runout, E-speed has the right configuration for your micromachining needs, whether it be integral, modular or quick-tool change. The E-speed family consists of E2000, E3000 and E4000 motor spindles.

The full stainless steel ball lock pins and handles come in a variety of configurations: button, ring, nautical and domed versions. The quick release pins are available in a variety of lengths and diameters from 3/16 to 1/2 in. nominal diameter and 5 mm to 16 mm nominal diameter with shanks made from both 17-4 and 300 series stainless steel.

The threaded lifting pins GN 1133 and GN 1135 function similarly to the GN 1130 lifting pins, which have been a popular JW Winco product for years. These new pins are each secured in place by four spring-loaded threaded elements (instead of balls). Pressing the spring-loaded aluminum button causes the elements to retract into the pin so that it can be inserted into a threaded hole.
