SCANcube IV can be perfectly configured for the required application using different tuning and mirror variants. In combination with an RTC control board, optional read-back functions for system monitoring and diagnostics are now available.

The new CAMWorks wire EDM module also includes enhanced feature recognition for non-planar geometry. Instead of the user needing to project the geometry for the top and bottom of the part and create 2D sketches, the new wire EDM software uses geometry directly from the solid model to construct and create the correct top and bottom profiles automatically.

The compact, durable design produces a beam deflection angle to 8° in theta-X and theta-Y, with symmetrical motion characteristics delivered by its parallel kinematics design. The angular resolution of the standard model is 1µrad (higher resolution models are available).

The Stiefelmayer laser is particularly well adapted to cutting precision shapes in thin substrates, including mild steel, stainless, copper and brass. Motor laminations are a particular specialty and this fact matches the drive to EV in the American auto industry.

On average, thanks to the new 15kW laser, the cutting speed of the ByStar Fiber increases by up to 50 percent (when cutting with nitrogen) compared to a 10kW laser source. This means that sheet metal processing companies can benefit from higher productivity with relatively low unit costs.

The FPL is a very low profile (20mm high) flat pack mounting for size constrained applications. The base is 30mm square, and the laser housing is 18mm x 18mm. With the extended laser unit, the overall length is 45mm.

The foundry-grade aluminum alloy, suitable for the laser powder-bed fusion (LPBF) process, enables 3D printing of parts that have traditionally been manufactured using casting practices. There are other Aluminum alloys that are more commonly used in metal additive manufacturing, such as AlSi10Mg, but Aluminum F357 can be anodized and shares characteristics with A356, a widely used casting alloy.n
