Seco Tools has introduced Jetstream Tooling high-pressure coolant technology for threading shank holders. The new range includes shank holders for external applications, boring bars for internal applications and GL-heads for use with Seco Steadyline boring bars.

WIP inventory and reconditioning costs are kept to a minimum." Additionally, the HPR400 Plus, intended for reaming larger diameters, comes with indexable inserts featuring four cutting edges instead of one. This lowers the volume of inserts a customer must stock.

Arno Werkzeuge USA announces the introduction of their new SHARK-Cut multipurpose cutting tool platform for a range of turning applications. SHARK-Cut allows machines shops to use just one tool for four different machining operations including: facing, drilling, boring and turning.

Seco Tools has expanded its Steadyline vibration-damping tooling system to include large-diameter turning/boring bars that provide a reliable, plug-and-play solution for increased productivity in large and deep bore operations. The new 2.36" (60 mm) and 3.15" (80 mm)-diameter sizes are ideal for use in oil and gas applications, as well as general machining of workpieces that require tool overhangs of up to 23.62" (600 mm) or 31.50" (800 mm), respectively.

Walter has unveiled the Walter Cut G1221-P, an innovative grooving boring bar with precision cooling, for recessing and internal grooving. This monoblock boring bar has two coolant holes.

Allied Machine & Engineering announces the expansion of its AccuPort 432/AccuThread 856 program to include more than 120 kits for manufacturing hydraulic ports and manifolds. The kits are available to meet SAE J1926; ISO I6149; John Deere G1731; and SAE AS5202 (aerospace standard/Mil-Spec) specifications.

The Autofacer from Steiner Technologies Inc. is a tool that allows the machinist to reach through a hole and machine a circular feature on the back side of the part automatically. By circular feature we might mean a spot face, counter bore, countersink, chamfer, spherical radius, or some combination thereof. This is accomplished by folding the cutting blade into the shaft of the tool body allowing the tool to pass into the part.

BIG KAISER announces three additions to the Smart Damper family of antivibration technology: EWN & EWD finish boring heads and SW rough boring heads with the CKB modular connection. Smart Damper incorporates a passive damping mechanism that functions as a counter action by way of high resonance friction action.
