EMG SORM is a state-of-the-art measuring system based on the confocal chromatic principle and is suitable for both online roughness and online waviness measurement of surfaces. It delivers precise, fast and non-contact roughness and waviness measurements calculated in accordance with the definitions of DIN EN 10049 and the SEP 1941 testing sheet. This makes EMG SORM® an indispensable tool for quality control and ensuring the surface condition of cold-rolled flat steel products. Thanks to its versatility, it can be used for different surface structures without adjustments and ensures reliable measurements at a production speed of up to 350 m/min.

The flat clamping fastener, with machining spacing tolerance of ±0.1 and repeatability of ±0.3, is made to pair with a locking receptacle, which is available separately. Plate thickness of 6 mm or more can be used with the fastener and receptacle. A clamping and holding force as high as 6.7 lb. (30N) can be achieved.

The improved zirconia alumina and aluminum oxide blending discs also deliver better performance and product life. In addition, the expanded blending disc portfolio provides more connection types, with all of the grain options in the lineup now available in Type S and Type R connections. All the discs are now available with a resin fiber or cloth backing. The resin fiber backing helps reduce the pressure an operator must apply to the disc to maximize the cut rate. It also helps retain the grain on the disc, increasing disc life. The cloth backing offers a more comfortable disc that gives the operator greater control of material removal. The Weiler Abrasives blending disc portfolio also includes a line of aluminum discs that remains unchanged.

With the 4-watt UV and green 10-watt marking lasers, the new V-Series offers higher performance and better precision than its predecessor models, but in a much more compact design. This allows for easy integration into existing production lines and more versatility in the design of production environments.

The 30-tool magazine provides flexibility for milling and drilling applications. The machine accommodates BT-40 shanks and includes a precision cam drive that achieves ±0.08-mm (0.0032") positioning accuracy. The tool change arm is waterproof, preventing coolant from entering the arm during use. The T-shaped and L-shaped pins are available in pin diameter sizes of 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8". And metric versions of 5, 6, 8, 10,12 and 16mm. The grip length (usable length) measured from the bottom of the handle to the top of the locking ball ranges from 1/2" up to 6" and from 10mm to 100mm depending on the diameter.
