The 30-tool magazine provides flexibility for milling and drilling applications. The machine accommodates BT-40 shanks and includes a precision cam drive that achieves ±0.08-mm (0.0032") positioning accuracy. The tool change arm is waterproof, preventing coolant from entering the arm during use. Users also have the option of adding a pallet changer to avoid the downtime associated with part loading and unloading.

The T-shaped and L-shaped pins are available in pin diameter sizes of 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8". And metric versions of 5, 6, 8, 10,12 and 16mm. The grip length (usable length) measured from the bottom of the handle to the top of the locking ball ranges from 1/2" up to 6" and from 10mm to 100mm depending on the diameter. Three shank materials are available.

Thomson miniature metric ball screws accomplish this with a unique multi-liner return system that maximizes the number of circuits and loaded balls in the nut. A miniature metric system with a multi-liner return system, for example, deploys 168 balls in eight circuits to support 7.6 kN of static load, as compared to a single-liner design, which would use 84 balls in four circuits to support only 4.2 kN. Maximizing the number of balls within a single nut also extends the life of the system by spreading the load across multiple points.

The M5250 cutter is effective for milling steel, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals (ISO P, K, M and N workpiece groups), as well as materials with difficult cutting properties. Skiving tools can be used in a variety of gear applications including the production of ring gears, shafts with internal and external splines and splined shaft profiles. EMUGE-FRANKEN Skiving Tools have no restrictions regarding the material to be machined and are highly suitable for the soft machining of internal and external gears, as well as hard machining. The skiving tools can be used on turning/ milling centers with B or A axes (swivel axes).
