Dialight announced the launch of its new IntelliLED Connected Industrial Lighting Platform—a wireless controls solution for heavy industrial lighting applications.

Make deep-hole operations productive and reduce the risk of scrapping large, expensive workpieces with the new GL threading and grooving heads for Steadyline ø1" (25 mm)-diameter turning and boring bars from Seco Tools. The new heads extend the range of GL Heads and Steadyline bars, increase production accuracy, improve surface finishes and reduce downtime from insert indexing and head changing.

Fives and its Machine Tool Services & Solutions team have the upgrade that exceeds expectations. As a FANUC Authorized Integrator, Fives has been able to bring the OEM proprietary features of the Giddings & Lewis 8000 control platform, such as axis tracking, to a FANUC solution.

Madison Chemical introduces ULTRA-BOND 2187, a dry-in-place pretreatment for precleaned metal. This zero-phosphorus solution forms a homogeneous organic/inorganic layer on pretreated metals, providing outstanding corrosion protection for pretreated surfaces painted with powder or piqued paints.

GF Machining Solutions announces the availability of its AgieCharmilles CUT C 350 and CUT C 600 wire EDMs for U.S. manufacturers that want high performance with low operating costs. At a $99,000 starting price point, the machines are not only cost-effective, but also provide optimized cutting speeds and reliable accuracy, while their AC CUT HMI 2 systems make for easy programming through efficient EDM expert modules.

Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division announced the worldwide launch of PartInspect L, the first automated 3D measurement cell product based on AICON scanner technology. Featuring a choice of structured-light scanning technology paired with a flexible robot arm and housed within a modular cell format, PartInspect L uses advanced automation expertise to meet increased demand for high-speed, high-quality part measurement and analysis.

Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division announced the launch of a new wireless, inline, gap and flash measuring system. The NEXTSENSE CALIPRI C15 is the latest addition to the CALIPRI family of non-contact measurement systems, which use a patented sensing technique to rapidly and accurately measure gap and flush, seal gap and feature lines throughout the manufacturing process.

KAAST bandsaws come in sizes ranging from 9" to 60" (230 mm to 1,500 mm). Larger capacity saws generally have larger motors providing more torque and allowing the operator to cut faster, not just larger, and to increase the speed at which the blade can get through the material. But as size increases, so do prices.

Mitsui Seiki's new HU100-TS 100 tilt-spindle 5-axis horizontal machining center is built to handle machining of large, hard-metal workpieces that are better suited for tilt-spindle processing than trunnion table operations. The machine's fixed table and tilting head arrangement facilitates production of heavier and larger parts and can permit use of shorter, more rigid tooling.

To greatly reduce cabinet and enclosure requirements for machine builders and manufacturers, Beckhoff Automation has announced the new AMP8620 supply module. The AMP8000 Distributed Servo Drive system provides optimal support for the implementation of modular machine concepts.

Beckhoff Automation has announced greater integration of OPC UA communication technology into TwinCAT Scope software. In the context of Industrie 4.0 and big data applications, machine data acquisition via OPC UA and analytics tools are becoming increasingly important.

HCL Technologies announced the release of CAMWorks Version 2019, which includes Additive Manufacturing, Tolerance-Based Machining (TBM) for turn and mill/turn parts, and improvements to Technology Database (TechDB).
