Weiler Abrasives Group has announced a new product in its Tiger bonded abrasives lineup. The new Tiger UltraCut thin cutting wheels deliver fast cuts, long wheel life and consistent performance—with a true 1mm thickness.

Cast iron drilling has taken a significant step forward with an expanded insert range for new diameters in the high-speed Color Select P6005-WKK45C grade for Xtra·tec B401x point drills. These new inserts are available in diameters up to 1.50 in. (37.99 mm).

Gear component manufacturers can easily achieve break-in lubricity, robust corrosion protection and galling resistance on critical components. Birchwood Technologies' TRU TEMP low-temperature, black-oxide process meets demanding finishing requirements while creating a non-dimensional finish, maintaining the same material hardness and load-bearing properties.

Niagara Cutter, a subsidiary of Seco Tools LLC, launched its new Niagara Cutter Stabilizer 2.0 next-generation family of endmills. The Stabilizer 2.0 cutters incorporate patented continuous variable asymmetrical geometries and provide incredibly smooth and chatter-free performance that allows feed rates to be doubled as compared with previous models.

Arno Werkzeuge USA announced the introduction of its SA series of cutting tools and inserts for grooving and part-off or cut-off operations for North America. The SA system from Arno USA is a modular grooving system with a single toolholder, which turns into different tool variants by simply changing the support blade and clamp.

Midwest Industrial Tool Grinding Inc. has released the newest edition of the standard tool catalog. The largest edition published by MITGI, the catalog includes more than 8,700 tools, an increase of 57 percent over the 2015 offering.

Mil-Tec Inc. says its HV5HD series endmills are ideal for machine shops and other manufacturing facilities that require flexibility and value. With a full range of cutter bodies and precision-ground carbide inserts, the tools can reportedly handle any application and material.

Tungsten ToolWorks offers seven micro-endmill geometries in an "infinite" variety of diameters, lengths, end conditions and coatings, including diamond, based on customer inputs. Cutting diameters as small as 0.005" (0.127mm) can be configured from an array of fractional or metric carbide blanks.

Abrasive Technology's DualForce fluting wheels are manufactured using the company's proprietary, controlled-structure process, which creates space between the abrasive particles, for a freer-cutting, low power-consuming wheel that withstands cutting forces generated when grinding carbide and high-speed steel.

PCT says its IXC series is engineered with a 45° protective corner chamfer and coolant holes to eliminate chipping on the cutting edge and permit efficient chip evacuation. The tool's design consists of distinctive triple-margin for advanced precision and a smooth finish on the part.

PCT's NXC series is engineered specifically for nickel-based drilling applications. The tool's design features a double- margin geometry, coolant holes and a slow helix to provide you with advanced chip evacuation and a stronger cutting edge.
