WP chipbreaker
Kyocera Precision Tools Inc. says positive-style inserts with its WP chipbreaker and a wiper cutting edge impart fine surface finishes at low cutting forces. The chipbreaker stabilizes chip conditions at low feed rates, controls excess chip breaking during high-feed and high-load machining and prevents tearing of the finished surface by controlling adhesion. The inserts are for machining steel and stainless steel and are available in a variety of CVD- and PVD-coated grades.

HGW series tools
G.W. Schultz Tool Inc.'s HGW series tools are available with four, five or seven flutes and are for machining high-temperature alloys, tool steel and most stainless steel alloys. Haas Automation recently expanded its drill, tap and mill product line with a pair of high-speed, lean-style machining centers—the DT-2 and DM-2—that reportedly provide the same high acceleration rates, fast axis speeds and short tool change times as their smaller brethren. Yet, the new machines offer an additional 8" (203mm) of X-axis travel and table length, with only a slight increase in footprint.
