Efficient treatment for wastewater compliance
The metal machining, fabrciation and finishing industries must meet EPA and local wastewater requirements for effluent. Under the Clean Water Act, the EPA has identified 65 pollutants and classes of pollutants as "toxic pollutants," of which 126 specific substances have been designated "priority" toxic pollutants. Failing to meet these requirements can result in severe fines that quickly escalate.

The PeopleCounter (PeCo) is a SensorApp developed by SICK that enables anonymous data processing and differentiation of people from objects over large detection areas. Based on the hardware of the MRS1000 3D LiDAR sensor, measurement data generates as a point cloud. The integrated PeopleCounter app reliably identifies people using their contours. This means it only counts people above the height of 1.4 meters, while objects are not counted.n

Extraction openings are no longer located circumferentially on the side, but in the cover of the general ventilation system. A new tornado principle at the head of the filter tower ensures that the contaminated air is drawn in with a very high degree of efficiency.
