Chucks

Two-Collet Chuck

As a recent addition to its EPPINGER PRECI-FLEX modular tooling system, EXSYS Tool Inc. offers a two-collet chuck that doubles the machining capability of one turning machine tool turret station. Designed for Mazak QUICK TURN and QTU series turning centers with optional high-speed drive motors, Y-axis functionality and standard BMT turrets, the double-collet chuck can deliver speeds up to 10,000 rpm with a 1:1 ratio and 20 N-m of torque and features 1,000 psi, or 70 bar, internal coolant.

Power Milling Chucks

Shops that seek to maximize milling performance while they reduce tooling inventories will benefit from newly introduced Power Milling Chucks from Seco Tools. With holding power and transmittable torque that rival hydraulic and shrink-fit holders, Power Milling Chucks deliver high precision with 5-micron runout accuracy at 3 times diameter in addition to enhanced application flexibility and cost effectiveness.

DURO-A RC Power Chuck

In recent years, machine tool OEMs have completely transformed CNC turning centers through the application of several advanced technologies. Whether it's ultradense synthetic machine beds, faster rapid traverse and acceleration rates, integrated spindle motor spindles or powerful multi-tasking capabilities, nearly every feature of these machines has changed. There’s just one major exception. More often than not, OEM machine builders equip these modern high-performance turning machines with outdated chuck technology – as old as 60 years – and it’s quickly becoming the component that holds back a machine’s true potential.
