Drill Heads

KHS Key Bits

Two new key sizes have been added: KHS-TID6-9.99 covers the drill diameter range from 6.0 to 9.9 mm (.236″ to .340″), while KHS-TID20-25.99 from 20.0 to 25.9 mm (.787″ to 1.020″). In addition to the key size that already exists for 10.0 to 19.9 mm (.394″ to .783″), these three key sizes cover the diameter range from 6.0 mm to 25.9 mm of the DrillMeister drill heads.

Drill Fix PRO

Designed for extended tool life and smooth drilling at high metal removal rates, Drill Fix PRO has outboard inserts that feature a wiper geometry for smoother surface finishes and larger coolant channels for high-volume flow. Other platform advancements include the versatility of the four-time indexable cutting edges that offers an extended application range.

DC183 Supreme Solid Carbide Drill

The primary applications for the DC183 Supreme solid carbide drill are machining steel, cast iron and non-ferrous materials (ISO P, K and N). The secondary applications are super alloys and stainless-steel materials (ISO S and M). The main targeted areas of use are automotive, aviation and energy industries, mold and die making, and general mechanical engineering.

Iscar Multi-Master 145 degree spot drills

The multi-master (MM) modular milling system from Iscar USA has many possible configurations to fit your machining application. In addition to the standard MM head options, Iscar also offers special ground heads to meet your special machining requirement. The company is excited to introduce a new option for the MM line, a 145-degree drilling head that can be used to center drill or chamfer an existing hole.

DrillForceMeister

DrillForceMeister incorporates a unique head-shank coupling interface that provides exceptional reliability when drilling relatively large diameter holes from 20 millimeters to 41 millimeters. When clamped, the drill head interlocks with the shank at larger contact areas, promoting high hole precisions and qualities. Furthermore, with the SMF flat-edged drill head, drilling operations on inclined or curved surfaces or on thin walls susceptible to vibration are made easier and more efficient.

Multicut Tool

The Multicut tool offers a versatile tooling solution capable of handling multiple applications, eliminating the need for multiple specialized tools. Its extended tool life minimizes the need for frequent tool changes, reducing the risk of operator error and tooling issues. Furthermore, the tool's consistent and reliable performance decreases the likelihood of unexpected downtime and delays, streamlining manufacturing processes.

Star Cutter Express

There are two stocked and standard product offerings where gundrills are delivered within 24 hours of the order. The SFGD Express program is for Single Flute Gundrills in diameters from 0.1250” - 0.7500” (3.175mm - 19.050mm) and lengths up to 48” (1219mm). The SCGD Express program is for Single Flute Solid Carbide Gundrills with standard ½” steel shanks in diameters from 0.0355”- 0.1969” (0.902mm - 5.000mm) in lengths from 4”- 12” (102mm - 305mm), depending on the tool diameter.

KenTIP FS Modular Drill Platform

Using the 140-degree solid carbide point design from Kennametal’s GOdrill, the KenTIP FS GTP insert allows for multiple machining applications across a range of materials including steel, stainless steel and cast iron. KenTIP FS GTP also features excellent centering capabilities, even at moderate cutting parameters, and low-axial forces.

DrillMeister Drill Sleeves

DrillMeister drill sleeves are available in 16, 25, and 32 millimeters in diameters for metric sizes and 3/4 inches and one inch for imperial sizes that fit the drill holders of the same sizes equipped in Swiss lathes. All drill sleeves have a threaded connecting port on the sleeve end for easy coolant hose connection.

DMH Drill Head Line

The DMH drill head features a fracture resistant design that is suitable for applications that involve drilling holes through thin-walled sections of workpieces. In normal circumstances, thin walls tend to spring back on the drill after the drill pierces through and exits the hole. In the process, uncut material shifts and forms exit burrs that impose extra burdens on the drill edge. These problems inflict damage on drill corners, shortening tool life. The DMH drill head’s geometry protects drill corners from fracture damage, providing extended tool life and reduced downtime.
